Walking Tour of Fremantle Port

Stroll with us around Victoria Quay and listen as port experts talk about different aspects of Fremantle Inner Harbour. These walks are typically 60-75 minutes and include topics of history, landside logistics, trade, port engineering, shipping and the environment. Port Walks start at the CY O'Connor statue outside the Fremantle Ports Administration Building on Victoria Quay (see photo right). Our address is 1 Cliff Street which is only ~600 metres from the Fremantle Train Station. Perfect if you're arriving via public transport.

We’re bringing a morning of coffee, breakfast and fun to Fremantle in celebration of 30 Years of Sheds. Hosted by Fremantle Men’s Community Shed, the Shedder’s Big BBQ Breakfast will feature trade displays, entertainment and guest speakers, with a side-serving of health information. Bring your goldies to exchange for a B&E roll and barista coffee. There’ll be giveaways and you’ll have the chance to get your mitts on some brand new Men’s Shed merch!

We are holding a small stall on Friday July 7 to raise awareness of Shed at the City of City of Melville “Community Open Day” at Bull Creek Community Centre (Leichhardt Street) from 10:30 to 1:30pm. The inaugural MCMS/SPYC "Men's Health Sailing Cup" is being held on Friday 16th from 3pm. Led by member Kevin Fulwood, this challenge is to sail remote control model yachts. Kevin has helped several shed members in building these kit yachts over the past few months. As part of national "Men's Health Week" (June 12-18), the benefits of this  sailing challenge include getting outdoors together, sharing in a race, being shoulder to shoulder, and enjoying a frothy or two.* In addition, the Men's Sheds of WA has provided a small health-related grant for afternoon tea and the requisite munchies.   * FROTHIES - includes milkshakes, bubble tea, etc

Shed leaders and committee members are invited to our upcoming half day leadership workshop. Facilitated by Miles Protter, creator of The Listening Shed, Treasurer of Men’s Sheds of WA, and Founder of Men’s Business the workshop will give you the tools to get things done effectively by bringing people along with you. This workshop will give you the opportunity to brush up on your leadership skills through this workshop full of practical advice that will help you improve your problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
