We are holding a small stall on Friday July 7 to raise awareness of Shed at the City of City of Melville “Community Open Day” at Bull Creek Community Centre (Leichhardt Street) from 10:30 to 1:30pm. The inaugural MCMS/SPYC "Men's Health Sailing Cup" is being held on Friday 16th from 3pm. Led by member Kevin Fulwood, this challenge is to sail remote control model yachts. Kevin has helped several shed members in building these kit yachts over the past few months. As part of national "Men's Health Week" (June 12-18), the benefits of this  sailing challenge include getting outdoors together, sharing in a race, being shoulder to shoulder, and enjoying a frothy or two.* In addition, the Men's Sheds of WA has provided a small health-related grant for afternoon tea and the requisite munchies.   * FROTHIES - includes milkshakes, bubble tea, etc

Shed leaders and committee members are invited to our upcoming half day leadership workshop. Facilitated by Miles Protter, creator of The Listening Shed, Treasurer of Men’s Sheds of WA, and Founder of Men’s Business the workshop will give you the tools to get things done effectively by bringing people along with you. This workshop will give you the opportunity to brush up on your leadership skills through this workshop full of practical advice that will help you improve your problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Melville Bunnings Sausage Sizzle Fundraiser VOLUNTEERS NEEDED !   This is part of Bunning Easter Event being held on Thursday 30th of March 6pm-8pm. Our Shed was such a hit at the Christmas Family night last year that we have been invited back to run their BBQ in amongst the other family Easter activities!!

Introduction to pottery workshops. Choice of: - on Saturday 25/2/2023 1-4pm) or - Saturday 25/3/2023. ( 1 to 4pm) The session would introduce Shed members who attend to working with clay.  The associated costs would be for the clay and firing of the clay pieces they make To fire a piece of clay twice as needed might be around $5 per piece.
