OFFICIAL OPENING DAY 💥  👍 In just two weeks, we will hold the Official Opening of our Shed. Friday November 25th. 📔  Shed members to be there at 9 am. And after 12 noon, our Community and general public are invited to : - take a guided tour,  - meet our members and sponsors,  - check out our equipment/ gear and ; - admire many of the items that we repair and create. Hi members We have been offered the opportunity to help in this event and raise money for our Shed.    This text is an extract from the MSWA  website We have a fundraising opportunity available for clubs, should you have any members who are interested in volunteering. With over 140km of road to cover, we require an army of marshals on event day to direct participants and spectators. Marshals are our eyes and ears on the ground and assist with directing riders along the course, as well as keeping the course clear of debris and other obstacles. If you are able to help out on Sunday November 20th, please advise: - via Facebook , - at the Shed or via email/ mobile. Thanks.

Have a Go Day, a LiveLighter event, has been run by Seniors Recreation Council since its inception in 1992. The event is the largest single event specifically targeted at the over 55’s demographic. A mix of over 200 static sites and activities makes this event unique to Western Australia, held in the beautiful grounds of Burswood Park for the last 30 years. St John will be conducting specific First Aid Essentials & defibrillator training starting at 11am on Wednesday 2nd November  22 at the Shed. This training will be essential and will be OH&S registered for all the proposed shed “duty supervisors”   The program is as follows  10am start  Sweep & clean up and set up table & chairs in the upstairs front room   At 11am Lecture   Discussion will be on Defib recommended location within shed area and full training if the equipment  (duration 1 hour )   Break for lunch 1/2 Hour  At 12.30 The best practice First aid Essentials tutorial  ( Duration 2 Hours)   This program is free to all shed members, with no limit on numbers but we must have names & proposed numbers. 

Graham MacKellar from Carbatec is planning to do a tool sharpening presentation for our members   This training will conclude just prior to the Monthly BBQ. Please stay for snack, a talk and a beverage or two.  

Our Shed Manager, the Hon Warren Hudson Pb, will run a short course in Bread Board construction. And maybe eat fresh bread , with butter and Vegemite after!!

- Tuesday or Friday mornings at this stage  Starting SOON - One hour sessions 9:30 to 10:30 and/or 11:00 to 12:00 - Small group ( 1-3 persons) - Front room at the Shed - Bring your own device or use a supplied laptop computer

Provide a MCMS stand at this Bunnings Community event:  - promote our Shed - take people over to our Shed - sign up new Members / issue invitations for visits on Tuesdays or Fridays

What are you old dinosaurs doing next Tuesday?? Bring your other dinosaur family and friends along too!! Hoyts Cinemas runs their own 'senior' screenings a couple of time a week. So Jurassic World : Dominion is showing at 10:30 am - about 2 1/2 hours long. But we are meeting from 10am in the foyer to buy tickets, grab a coffee and say Hi.  And if you are like Janet and I, then this is probably your 4th epoch of dinosaurs - in our school days, our children's toys, now our grandkids toys and also this Jurassic movie series. Hoyts own seniors' program is for anyone of the age of 60 years - you just need to sign up at the box office as you buy your tickets ($9) - and you should also get a free small popcorn. Winning !!
