Visit to Manning Men's Shed

A visit was held at the Manning Men's Shed (South Perth)
      3 Downey Dr, Manning (off Ley Street)

Starting at 9 am - Morning tea was provided.

There was a guided tour and an open discussion on what worked and what didn't.

This shed is a part of their Senior Citizens Centre and is not separately incorporated.

This shed has about 200m2 of floor space. - Approximately half that of Hayden Court so will be a good example of what can be squeezed in.

Some notes:

- 123 members at End of FY - with about 80 active

- Annual Fee = $60

- Operate on days only/ men

- conduct3 satlls per year selling goods

- only accept donations for works - thus no GST

- employ a Buddy system for new members using equipment - and " Dont Know, Dont Touch"

- have Shed managers/ Supervisors

- have scanner codes on Members badges

- maintain a Capital Fund and a Maintenance Fund
